Arunachal Highlands and Tawang Escape

Arrive at Guwahati Airport (GAU) and drive to Bhalukpong, the Assamese frontier town at the Arunachal border. Spend the evening by the banks of the Jia Bharali River and settle in for the night.

Continue the mountain ascent toward Dirang. Obtain permits if not done online, pause at the Tipi Orchid Centre, and visit the Nag Temple en route.

Discover the cultural and natural beauty of Dirang Valley with visits to a 17th-century fort-monastery, yak research centre, and the scenic Sangti Valley.

Drive toward Tawang across the majestic Sela Pass, photo stop at Sela Lake. Pay respects at Jaswant Garh War Memorial and visit Nuranang Falls before arriving in Tawang.

After breakfast, proceed for local sightseeing and the Bumla Pass excursion. En route, visit the war cemetery, Jaswanth Garh, and Madhuri Lake (P.T Tso Lake) close to the Chinese border. Return in the evening and rest in the hotel.

Spend the day exploring Tawang’s spiritual landmarks and local market, including the iconic monastery, war memorial, and Bhramadungchung ani gompa.

Begin the descent toward the plains and stop at Bomdila Monastery, where murals and prayer halls create a contemplative pause. Continue to Bomdila View Point for sweeping Himalayan views.

Drive back to Guwahati on a long scenic transfer. An optional Brahmaputra River Cruise is available at extra charges.

Check out in the morning and visit Kamakhya Temple on Nilachal Hills if time permits. Then transfer to Guwahati Airport or Railway Station for departure.
